A.C. (Chuck) Smith is the founding
partner of Effective Teleservices, Incorporated
(ETI). He is a former eighteen year veteran
of BellSouth and the Berry Company, America’s
largest independent Yellow Pages Agency.
Mr. Smith held many management positions
with L.M. Berry including four years as
the Executive Director of Business Development.
Mr. Smith has negotiated relationships with
dozens of companies including Verizon, Bellsouth,
Cingular Wireless, AT&T Wireless, Sprint,
SBC, Qwest, Dell Computer Corp, Cablevision,
Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Cox Interactive,
AOL, AAA Auto Club and Cincinnati Bell.
Mr. Smith founded BerryDirect, A Bellsouth
enfranchised third-party
customer
contact agency in 1997. The company was
spun off as an independently held corporation
in early 2003. Mr. Smith was the lead executive
for this business from inception thru June
2005 and continues to hold a significant
share of the company. ETI has grown to over
1700 team members with world-class facilities
in the United States and India. Chuck has
been a frequent speaker at Call Center,
BPO and Telecom industry events over the
years.
On a personal note,
Chuck is married with three children. He
enjoys basketball, golf, and playing the
guitar. Mr. Smith is an alumnus of Indiana
University and the Sunday School Director
at his church.

Prem P.Sarkar is the founding
Director of Harvest Transcription Private
Limited (HTPL). He is a former Vice President
of Dallal Street Journal Group, India’s
leading financial data dissemination and
software development corporation .Mr Sarkar
has expertise in marketing and human resource
development in the areas of Merchant Banking,
Portfolio Management, capital markets, resource
mobilization and financial products. He
has developed and managed a 1300 strong
team of workforce in 18 different location
in India and the Middle East . He remained
as the Vice president of a leading Software
company which partnered with NEC Japan as
their off shore development center in India
–Bangalore,and
has been a consultant for several ITes /BPO
Service companies in India and Bangladesh
. Prem has been a frequent speaker at seminars,
college and universities in India and overseas
on Medical Transcription,BPO and Leadership
issues.Mr Sarkar is the recipient of three
National Awards ‘Pride of India’,
‘Rastrya Ratan Award’ and ‘Rajiv
Gandhi Shiromoni Award’.
On a personal note,Prem is married
with two children.He enjoys chess,cricket
,tabletennis and reading.Mr Sarkar is an
alumnus of North Eastern Hill University-Shillong
and a carecell leader at his church.
